Every referral will be considered individually. Support is subject to assessment, safeguarding considerations, risk assessment, staff availability and confirmation that the requested activities are within DiRich’s current service scope.

Older Adult Companionship and Community Support

DiRich is preparing to offer friendly, person-centred companionship and community support for older adults who may be living alone, experiencing social isolation or wishing to remain active and connected.

Support may include friendly conversation, companionship visits, walks, local outings, shopping, appointments, hobbies, social clubs, faith groups, community events and support using public transport.

Our aim is to help older adults maintain confidence, independence, wellbeing and meaningful connections with family, friends and their local community.

Important Information About This Service

DiRich will provide companionship, social support and non-regulated community support only.

DiRich does not provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, feeding assistance or personal hygiene. We also do not provide medication administration or management, nursing care, medical treatment, clinical services or accommodation.

Every enquiry will be assessed individually. DiRich will only accept support arrangements that can be delivered safely within its current non-regulated service scope.

We welcome enquiries, referrals and expressions of interest for future planning. However, support services are not currently being delivered.

Before any service begins, DiRich will complete an initial consultation, suitability assessment, safeguarding review and risk assessment. A service will only begin after the support arrangement and confirmed start date have been agreed in writing.
