DiRich Specialist Community Support Ltd is preparing to provide safe, respectful and person-centred community support for children aged 8 and over, young people, adults and older people with learning disabilities, autism and additional support needs.

We welcome enquiries from individuals, families, parents and carers, social workers, schools, colleges, local authorities, healthcare professionals, community organisations and other professionals.

Preparing to Launch Soon

DiRich Specialist Community Support Ltd is preparing to launch soon.

We are not currently delivering support services, but we welcome general enquiries, expressions of interest and discussions about future support.

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that DiRich will be able to provide a service.

Support will only be confirmed after DiRich has officially launched, reviewed the individual’s needs, completed the appropriate assessments and provided written confirmation that the requested support can be delivered safely and appropriately.

Who We Are Preparing to Support

DiRich is preparing to support:

  • Individuals who may benefit from support to develop confidence, independence and community participation

Every enquiry will be considered individually.

The availability and suitability of support will depend on the person’s assessed needs, location, goals, communication requirements, risk-assessment needs, staffing availability and whether the requested service falls within DiRich’s approved service scope.

Our Planned Support

Depending on the individual’s assessed needs and agreed support plan, DiRich is preparing to offer support with:

  • Accessing community activities
  • Attending social and recreational activities
  • Building confidence and independence
  • Developing practical life skills
  • Developing communication and social skills
  • Reducing loneliness and social isolation
  • Shopping and everyday community activities
  • Travel training and using public transport
  • Attending agreed appointments
  • Accessing education, college or training
  • Accessing volunteering opportunities
  • Participating in activities connected to personal interests
  • Building positive routines and community connections

All support will be person-centred, planned and subject to appropriate consent, assessment and risk management.

Important Service Boundaries

DiRich is preparing to provide non-regulated community support.

DiRich does not provide:

  • Personal care, including washing, dressing or toileting
  • Nursing or clinical care
  • Medical treatment or diagnosis
  • Medication administration
  • Emergency or crisis intervention
  • Residential care
  • Overnight accommodation
  • Secure or emergency transport
  • Any regulated activity that requires registration unless the appropriate registration has been obtained

Where someone requires support outside DiRich’s approved service scope, we will explain this clearly and may recommend contacting an appropriately registered provider or relevant professional.

Planned Service Area

DiRich is based in Burton upon Trent.

Our initial planned service area includes Burton upon Trent and selected surrounding communities across:

  • Staffordshire
  • Derbyshire
  • Leicestershire

Service availability will depend on the requested location, travel distance, staffing capacity, the individual’s needs and the outcome of the relevant assessments.

Response Commitment

We aim to respond to enquiries within two working days.

During periods of high enquiry volume, responses may take slightly longer. We will always endeavour to respond as promptly as possible and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Safeguarding and Emergencies

The safety and wellbeing of the people we support will always be a priority.

DiRich takes safeguarding concerns seriously. However, DiRich is not an emergency service or crisis-response service.

If someone is in immediate danger, requires urgent medical assistance or is at immediate risk of harm, please call 999.

For a non-emergency police matter, call 101.
